Castlefield Demographics

Castlefield is a conservation area in the south west part of Manchester.

It is a safe part of the city of Manchester, with only a small percentage of all city centre crime happening within the area. Cobbled streets, brick warehouses, bridges, viaducts, and canal boats, create Castlefield’s charm.

The area is serviced by the Deansgate-Castlefield tram stop and Deansgate Station.

Pubs, Clubs, and restaurants

Castlefield has several bars and restaurants which are particularly popular during the summer months when people flock to the area to enjoy the large outdoor drinking areas and regular live music events. Dukes 92, Choice Bar & Restaurant, Lava Bar, and the Jackson's
